  • Watching the Joe Mauer press conference on FSN, of course. I'm so happy for Joe and the Mauers and the Twins and everyone. #
  • Stoic Minnesotan Joe Mauer is getting choked up. Awwwwwwwwwww. #
  • I want his teammates to ask some questions. And family members. Maybe Grandpa Jake could call in and ramble too. #
  • Yay, Justin! With the dinner question. I think Justin wants "dinners purchased by Joe Mauer" written into his next contract. #
  • Justin asked the same question (re Joe buying dinner) at the MVP press conference, but wasn't miked for it and it was at the very end. #
  • You know, I don't think Joe Ma regrets choosing the Twins over a college football scholarship. #
  • I love Bert: "You can hear the excitement of Joe Mauer". Yeah, he was *so* animated. (For a Minnesotan.) #

  • There was actual cheering in our household when the news scrolled across that Joe Mauer was signed to an 8 year deal. Time to celebrate! #
  • Had to call my Dad to give him the Mauer news as he's out of town. There should be some sort of sign in the sky over Twins Territory. #
  • Husband says they should start blinking that celebration sign at Target Field tonight. I think fireworks might be in order. #
  • Husband says he's "baking celebratory cookies". I asked if they were shaped like Joe Mauer's sideburns. Alas, no. #
  • Celebratory hotdish all around! Maybe with some bars for dessert. #

  • Kevin reports from season ticketholder open house that our Legend's Club seats (section H) are "awesome". Right in front of pressbox tho. #
  • He says our regular season tix (section 207) are good. And that the food options are at least 5x better than they were at the Dome. #
  • Anyone know if there's gonna be WiFi provided at Target Field and/or if City of Mpls wifi has coverage there? #
  • I find it sad that reception for KSTP is so poor for me (in S. Mpls) that I have to listen to games over the net. #

  • My husband Kevin is checking out Target Plaza etc. right now. Says there are long lines for ticket sales at Target Field. Sweet. #
  • Word from @JoeCStrib and @SouhanStrib is that @thisisdspan has signed a five year deal with the Twins. Yay! Congrats to Denard! #
  • Hard to imagine the Twins selling out an entire season given how rare single game sellouts were at the Metrodome. #
  • And now, for the first time this year: SHUT UP RON COOMER! (Sure to be repeated many many times.) #
  • Juan Castro just hit a fly ball to Jacque Jones. It's like we've gone back in time! Watched Henry Blanco catch Johan last week too. #
  • Welcome back, @PatNeshek ! I know he's pitched already this spring, but it's the first time I can watch him throw. Missed him. #
